We had an exceptional experience with George’s taxi service. I found about George’s m service on Matt Barrett’s Facebook page and booked them for two full day trips during our five day stay in Athens, 1 to Delphi area, and 1 to Corinth area. The booking process was easy by email, and they were very responsive. Our tour driver was Stavros, and I especially liked that they kept the same driver with us for multiple tours so he could get to know us and our preferences. Stavros told us about another tour that they do to the Temple of Poseidon for an evening sunset visit, and we ended up adding that to our itinerary, which they accommodated last minute. Stavros became like a family member by the end of the trip. My kids were big fans of Stavros, and of the private tours. With a group of 6, 2 parents and our four kids, the private tour was the perfect way to go at our own pace, stop when we needed to and adjust on the fly. Stavros was very knowledgable and shared a great deal of history about Greece and the sites we were going to see, both en route and after visiting. My kids got all their questions answered; and there were a lot! Probably the hardest part of leaving Greece for them was saying goodbye to Stavros! Dimitri our driver was punctual, friendly, and so knowledgeable. The car was immaculate and comfortable. We had the best time visiting Eleusis and Daphni. This is our second excursion with George’s taxi and both have been excellent.
Our day was amazing thanks to our lovely driver Alex! He was on time, professional, super knowledgeable and very friendly! He made sure we got to all the sites we wanted to see and made the entire process seamless. I was worried about having my baby and my grandmother who has a wheelchair and all the logistics involved with both going to all the ancient sites but Alex made the whole day easy and it was very organized. Simply put: Amazing. Well worth the cost. We learned so much that there's just no way we would have even heard about otherwise. Everyone stayed interested and engaged, from the teens to the grandparents. Can't stress enough how wonderful it was to have local experts that could answer questions about everything from gelato to ancient Sparta. Plus, our driver Nicholas told us we had the best tour guide, and our tour guide Eugenia assured us we had the best driver! What luck!!!

They handled our airport transfers as well as additional trips, including a wonderful excursion to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion and our return to the airport the following day.Every driver we had was gracious, polite, professional, and genuinely pleasant to speak with. They were extremely knowledgeable about Athens, the surrounding areas, and especially how to navigate the city’s traffic safely and efficiently. At the airport, our drivers were waiting for us exactly where expected as we exited customs and passport control, which made arriving after a long flight completely stress-free.The vehicles were always immaculate, comfortable, well maintained, and properly air-conditioned, and cold bottled water was provided for us. The drivers also assisted with our luggage all the way to the hotel, which was greatly appreciated.Most importantly, we always felt completely safe. Excellent service, our driver Maxis communicated with me the day before our trip to set expectations, clearly followed our travel agenda because he was waiting at the airport. We would definitely recommend George’s Taxis, we have used them twice now, once a couple of years ago for airport transfers and again a few weeks ago when we had a full day excursion to the Corinth Canal, Old Corinth then a tour or Athens with stops at Lycbetts Hill, the changing of the guard, a lunch stop at a local restaurant, the Acropolis and Parthenon plus lots more, it was made even better by Gianni our driver for the day, he was friendly and polite and very knowledgeable, we would definitely recommend him and George’s Taxis.

I highly recommend George’s Taxi for your tour and transportation needs around Athens. We had a short time in Athens after a cruise and wanted to see some highlights before hopping on our flight home. Alex (our driver) was entertaining, friendly and funny. He knew all the perfect spots and made the most of our time showing us the highlights of Athens, providing a lot of history about the sites and attractions and a ton of local knowledge and information and anecdotes about what life is like in Athens. We had Alex as our driver who was fantastic, he was friendly, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. We were a party of 9 with various needs, Alex considered my Mum's more limited mobility throughout the day and gave us tips to make things easier for her. Amazing tour with our guide, Alex! He was waiting for us when we arrived and then we were off on our Athens adventure! Alex was knowledgeable and well versed in Athenian history. Our first stop was to see the change of the guard right at 8am- we were the only people there, it was awesome! Alex was a former guard so he shared lots of insight into the significance of the uniform and the guard schedule. Then we headed up Lycabettus hill - for our first overlook of Athens. Alex took our pictures (he is also a photographer!) and gave us another history lesson. Then we were off to the Acropolis which speaks for itself. After the Acropolis we easily found Alex as he gave us clear directions to message on WhatsApp - he was at the bottom waiting for us. Next stop, a Greek caffe for espresso and pastries before heading into the Agora. After the Agora we had time to stroll Monastiraki square and got food at Sabbas (DELICIOUS) as recommended by Alex. The final stop on our tour was the National Archeological museum before heading back to the cruise port. We absolutely would use George’s premium taxi service again and would specifically request Alex! We had a wonderful day and can’t wait to come back!

I always use George's Taxi for my airport transfers when I come to Athens. They are extremely reliable and very good drivers who are all very friendly. The price from the airport is only slightly more than if you stand in line at the airport and so well worth it to know you've got a good reliable driver who is monitoring your flight. Can't recommend enough.

I had a fun time with Stavros as our family’s chauffeur during our trip in Athens and I thought every bit of detail about the history of Greece was very good.
We went to Meteora and Nea Makri with Stavros as our driver. We had him before two years prior for a trip to Cape Sounion, and he truly never disappoints. For being with a driver for a couple hours or even all day, he makes you feel like you’re a part of his family. I felt like I learned more on these drives than I would have in a class anywhere. He made sure we got as close as we could to different areas, would talk to the locals to make sure we got into certain places okay, and would always be waiting with a smile. If you are ever debating on taking a trip with George’s Taxi, let this be a sign that you need to do it!

While our trip was primarily centered around a cruise, we booked a tour prior to the cruise and one post cruise with George’s Taxi. From the booking process through the drop off at our second tour, this company provided everything and more of what anyone can expect for a tour of Athens and it’s surrounding areas. Prior to our cruise departure, Stavros was our guide for George’s “Taste of Athens” excursion. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and showed us all of the “Don’t miss”ancient and present day sites around Athens. Demetrius was the driver for our post cruise trip to ancient Corinth. He is an amazing guy… so smart with an amazing amount of information to share. He is very personable and provides a fun way to spend the day. We learned so much about the sites we visited and Grecian history in general. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off at our overnight airport accommodations. I was so impressed when he refused to leave until he was absolutely positive that we were at the correct location and securely checked in. Overall, he just went above and beyond what anyone would expect! Yesterday, we had them take us on a 5 hour excursion that included a visit to Marathon and to the monastery of St Efraim in Nea Makri.Stavros (Steve) gave us a most memorable morning. The tour was fun-filled and flawlessly executed, taking us to see the Presidential Mansion, the Changing of the Guard, the historic 1896 Panathenaic (Olympic) Stadium, the breathtaking Parthenon, and straight through the vibrant heart of downtown Athens.We maximized every single minute of our short time in Athens without ever feeling rushed. It’s no longer George’s Taxi Service. It’s Georges Premium Tours. We found George’s when reading a Rick Steve’s guide book on Greece, Athens, and the Greek Islands. We were looking for a special tour around Athens after a week long cruise. We reached out to George’s and interacted with Pavlos and Sofia by email several weeks before our trip. They answered all our questions, plus helped us arrange tours and pre-purchase tickets. Everything was booked, set, and confirmed. We had a Greek tour of the Acropolis, Parliament’s changing of the guard, the ancient Agora, museums, Mount Lycabettus, an authentic Greek Lunch, and city sites along the way. Plus the comfort of a Mercedes sedan with a dedicated driver. The day was spectacular. We were greeted warmly by Kristos, from George’s, in the lobby of the Hotel Grand Bretagne promptly at 07:45 and our day began. Kristos and George’s did everything they could to make sure we had an amazing day. We arrived at the Acropolis to meet Yannis our private guide and we were off touring the ancient site. Afterward, Kristos did everything he could so we could see the 12:00 ceremonies at Parliament. Then off to see Athens in the A/C comfort of a Black Benz. The Agora, Lycabettus, Olympic Stadium, Lunch, and a quick museum visit. We saw all the highlights, toured the city, then back to our hotel, after an 8 hour tour. Kristos was an excellent driver, very kind, and he made certain we were safe. For us, this was a perfect premium tour. George’s made it possible. We definitely recommend them for touring Athens, in comfort, and would use them again. Email them, tour in a Benz, have an excellent experience, easy, done !
Georges is a lovely and very warm person. It was a joy to arrive in Naxos and start your trip with him as soon as you got off the ferry! Very reasonable rates.

In the past we have traveled with George's to Delphi and Sounion.Our driver today, Jimmy, was professional, an excellent driver, his vehicle was spotless, and he explained bits of Greek culture to us along the way. We relocated to Athens about three years ago and have been in Greek school, so our ride back to Athens was almost all in Greek. Jimmy's English is excellent and he explained bits of Greek grammar to us when we made mistakes.Jimmy kept us comfortable on a warm day, provided us with cold water, and took us to a place on the Peloponnese that is magical for us and a foundational part of Greek history.Many years ago I found George's Taxi through Matt Barrett's website. On my recent trip to Greece, I planned a day trip to Meteora. This was a long day, so early pick up and later drop off around 6pm, but my driver, Alex was so gracious from start to finish! I was particularly impressed at his willingness to stop when I mentioned I was desperate for a coffee at early pickup (you are a star Alex!) Meteora was one of the most enchanting places I have ever visited and having this private tour made it even more special for me, as the knowledge Alex shared about the history of the site and its surrounding areas was so valuable, and also we were able to stop at some places for pictures along the way where probably not all the tour buses can get into. Alex's English was exceptional and he was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth and so very interesting to talk to and his driving was excellent, I felt safe and comfortable. Trust me, if you think paying for a private tour might be expensive, do not think twice about it, as the experience you have here will be priceless and you will not question a single cent. Our tour with Dimitris was an outstanding experience. We were driven in a luxurious Mercedes SUV. He was early to pick us up and took all the time we needed. He took the initiative to arrange a spot for us at a beach club in advance and we were treated like VIP’s. Dinner was memorable and of course the sunset at Temple of Poseidon was spectacular. My family of seven had Alex as our driver for a half-day tour of Athens before our transfer to Athens International Airport, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He arrived 45 minutes earlier than our scheduled pickup time and made it incredibly easy to find him at the cruise terminal.Alex was not only friendly and professional, but also extremely knowledgeable about Athens and its history. Whenever our group got out to explore, he would send me a pin with his exact location, which opened directly in Google Maps and made finding him effortless. George's Premium Tours with Dimitrios (Jimmy) Our recent Athens tour with Dimitrios (Jimmy) was one of the best tours that we’ve ever been on.Dimitrios was so knowledgeable and so well spoken.He was able to answer all our questions and to provide answers that we didn’t know we had questions for 😊Dimitrios was early for our pick up at the port and had a very clean car (and bonus, water for us). He was able to accommodate everything that we wanted to do on our list minus one thing but that was at OUR request because we were very, very tired (and I wasn’t feeling 100%).We loved talking all things Athens/Greece plus the music scene as well as the care and welfare of all the cats that we saw. He did not mind at all when we had to stop to give them treats. 😊The lunch spot he brought us to was fabulous and we really wish we could’ve spent more time exploring with him that day (again we did everything we wanted to minus one thing, but that was at OUR request. We booked George’s Taxi based off the reviews on the cruise forums and we were glad we did! Our driver Dimitris exceeded our expectations. He provided so much insight anf history about everything we were passing by and stopping at. After the Acropolis, he met us with cold bottles of water. He also helped us by picking a restaurant for lunch which was outstanding as well. On the way back to the ship I asked him if we could stop by an authentic place to get baklava as we didnt want to get it in the touristy areas around the Acropolis. Dimitris replied that he had knew just the place. We cant stop talking about how good that baklava was. If you are considering a private tour in Greece, look no further than George’s. We were beyond satisfied!

This was the absolute best experience, from the time we booked until we were finished with the excursion. Booking online was easy, and the company had fantastic email communication in the weeks leading up to our tour. The “Athens in a Day” tour was absolutely amazing — we saw so much and gained a real insight into the city’s history and culture.We also asked Stavros for a recommendation for lunch somewhere off the beaten track (probably the number one request from tourists!), and his choice did not disappoint. We booked George’s Taxi for a private driver/day tour around Athens. Demetrius was our driver and he was incredible. Was on time waiting for us at the port as arranged. Provided us with lots of interesting and historic information about Greece and local recommendations. Very funny and friendly. Would recommend this tour to others!
We had a great day out with our driver-guide Dimitris. We were picked up (with all our luggage) at our hotel south of the Acropolis and driven to Delphi. Dimitri gave us clear directions about getting tickets for and visiting the sanctuary and museum, and he dropped us off there. After a couple of hours to tour, he picked us up and then dropped us off at a nice tavern in the town of Delphi for lunch. After lunch, he collected us and drove us to our hotel near the airport. He earned extra credit with me when he also took extra time to find us a nearby seaside tavern that was able to shuttle us to and from their location. Dinner solved! Epharisto, Dimitri, for a great trip to Delphi AND at the same time positioning us near the airport for an early flight home!
I used George's Premium Tours last week and Athens. I can't say enough good things about the company! I booked a half day tour of Athens. Communication through the booking process was easy and the instruction given were precise and simple to follow. Our driver, Kostas, picked us up at the cruise port. He provided us a great amount of history and answered all our questions during the tour. He was great! At the end of the tour, we were dropped off directly at our hotel. The entire process was seamless. I highly recommend this company and Kostas!
We spent 2 fantastic days doing tours of Athens and area with Stavros (Steve) from George’s Taxi. On the first day, he picked us up at the airport and we drove to Cape Sounio and saw the Temple of Poseidon among other beautiful areas along the way. Wr had a wonderful experience visiting Nafplio with our driver Steve (Stavros). He was very knowledgable regarding all the sites and history of Greece and very accommodating with regards to our schedule. He gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch in Nafplio. We used George’s Premium Tours (formerly George’s Taxi) for a day trip from Athens to Delphi and wow - our driver, Kostas, was AMAZING. He made the whole journey so easy and enjoyable. From choosing a delicious lunch spot, to sharing interesting facts and history, to having cold waters ready for us when we got back in the car, everything was perfect and so thoughtful. We accidentally left souvenirs in the car and their company took the time to reach out and drop the items off at our hotel.Looking forward to using their services again!

Our group of 4 couples had a great experience on our Best of Athens in a Day Tour. All of the pre-visit communication was clear and organized with quick responses. Alex was a wonderful driver and Dina our guide was incredibly organized and knowledgeable. The tour more than met our expectations! Alex was also our driver the following day for our transfer to the port. Besides being prompt, helpful and courteous, he is also very personable and knowledgeable on the history and sites of Athens. We felt very fortunate to have had George’s recommended to us for our tour and transfer!

Kostas was an excellent driver and we highly recommend him. Fun, entertaining, super Greek and Athenian to the max but very informative and introduced us to basically all of Athens in a day off our cruise ship. He also recommended a really good local restaurant - if you're lucky enough to get Kostas ask him about 5 Phi for your food. Definitely worth the whirlwind of a day - Athens in a day tour. Can't think how else we'd be able to pull off Athens in 8 hours unless it's with this company.

Five stars, and I don't give those lightly.I've used Georgia's Taxi three times over the past two years, and the consistency alone would earn a recommendation. They show up early, every time. Communication is excellent before and during. Last year, my driver stopped twice at a coffee shop to make sure I was actually awake and ready to enjoy the day. George’s Taxi is much more than a transfer company, rather a full scale tour operator that also provides airport transfer.We had the pleasure of being hosted by Stavros (Steve) on a 3-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. We also utilized him for both airport transfers.They arranged for our hotels both nights in fantastic (and reasonable) properties as well as bringing my group of three to see amazing places.Stavros is a true expert in all things Greece and took the time to show and teach us about each area we visited.Our tours were the highlight of a fantastic 2 week vacation.
We used George’s Taxi for transfers to and from the airport and a tour to the Temple of Poseidon. Steve was fantastic! He told us so much about Athens and Greece and made sure our experience to Cape Sunio was great. He took us to a wonderful seafood restaurant and helped us pick our fresh fish. And on the way to the airport he told us he looked at the weather on Crete and gave us so many suggestions for our visit there. Highly recommend!
We took 2 day trip tours with Stavros; Marathon/Cape Sounio and Delphi. Both trips will be unforgettable because of Stavros! He was so kind, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Greek history and culture. An incredibly safe driver who made the journeys so stress free. Each trip Stavros recommended a restaurant to eat at and they were honestly the best food, from fresh fish with a multigenerational family taverna to a mountain side taverna with giant beans and handmade pasta each meal will be one remembered forever. Highly recommend George's Taxi and if you can get Stavros it will be a trip and conversations you will remember forever!
We did three day tours on consecutive days, from Athens to Delphi, Cape Sounio (at sunset), and the Peloponesse. Our driver was Stavros, and the service was impeccable. Stavros is deeply knowledgable on topics ranging from food to mythology and everything in between. He was warm, kind, generous, on time, and a great companion to our family for three days. He brought us to wonderful restaurants each day and advised us on what and how to order. On our trip to Cape Sounio, he took us to a seaside fish place that has been run by the same family for eighty years, where we were served delicious Sea Bream right off the boat. He also recommended his favorite places to eat, drink, and shop in Athens, which made our stay wonderful even when he wasn't around. We can't thank him enough for making our time in Athens more special than we could ever have hoped.
What can I say!? We used George's Taxi 6 times on this last trip to Athens and 5 of those were taken by Steve, our new friend. George's Taxi is dependable and prompt each time and they even came back to the port to pick us at the last minute because our cruise was canceled. I feel that we can always depend on Nicholas, Pavlos, and the whole team for our transportation needs. Right on the first night (midnight) picking us from the airport, Steve gave us a lot of information about the city and provided excellent suggestions as of what to do and where to go. He also took us on a tour to Corinth, which we totally enjoyed. We will definitely use George's Taxi (now changing to their new brand George’s Premium Tours) if we ever visit Athens in the future again. For some reasons I couldn't load any photos of their wonderful service.
We booked George’s Taxi for an overnight trip to Meteora and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Pickup was punctual and completely hassle-free. Although we weren’t able to see as much as originally planned due to detours caused by the farmers’ strike, this was outside of the company’s control and did not detract from the overall experience. Pricing was clear and transparent—the cost covered the driver only, with hotel and meals paid separately. Our driver, Stavros, was friendly, knowledgeable, and great company, and we truly enjoyed our conversations with him over the two days. We felt well taken care of throughout the trip and would highly recommend George’s Taxi to anyone visiting the area.
We booked a Nemea Wine Tour through George's Taxi and had a wonderful experience. Our driver Gianni took us to three wineries where we enjoyed tastings and snacks, the drive was pleasant and the driver very knowledgeable about wine, history and everything else. Well worth the very reasonable price for a memorable day
